Often the Bible talks about the impact of faith on nations. There are 151 such verses. During Advent many of the Scriptures we read talk about the nations seeking Jesus (called Immanuel or Messiah in the Old Testament). While this may seem a foreign concept to you and me, it is quite prevalent in the Bible. Jesus, as ruler and judge of the nations, brings good things, like peace, equity, stability, and fair judgment–things hard for nations to accomplish. Sunday we talk about this during worship at 10:30. Please join us in person or online. It’s Communion Sunday.
Also, please remember the Christmas auction sponsored by the Women’s ministries at First Presbyterian is going on RIGHT NOW on this website. Make a bid! This supports various ministries. And, if you have chosen to provide an ANGEL GIFT for a child, it is due noon December 10. You can also make a reservation with the Church Office to come sit in the sanctuary for 30 minutes of sacred space during Advent. It’s peaceful, worshipful, and safe. Sunday School happens at 9:15 for adults, with Zoom available too. Come nurture your faith and enjoy some blessed peace. See you soon!
