We asked Katherine some questions so you could get to know her better. Here are her answers:

What you are passionate about?

I’m passionate about discovering and learning new things–I love to explore new techniques in sewing, painting, or DIY projects, learn about historical events or figures, or find out fun facts I didn’t know before. I love discovering what makes people who they are and the things that God is doing in their lives. It’s so exciting to me to see all the things that make each person unique and that make our world the way it is.

What is your favorite way to spend a day?

My favorite way to spend a day is relaxing by myself, usually sewing or doing something else crafty while listening to relaxing music. I love sewing clothes, including things for me or for family and friends.  I also love reading, drinking coffee, and hanging out with friends

Do you have a favorite movie or book?

My current favorite book series is the Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson. I enjoy reading fantasy and sci-fi, as well as books that make me think deeply about the world! I prefer to watch movies with friends, which means it’s often motivated by what they’re watching! When I’m watching alone, though, my favorite movies are often musicals or mysteries.

Who is your favorite person to talk to (living or dead)?

My favorite person to talk to is my sister. We’re super close and love to debrief about our days and discuss all the things going on in our lives. I also love talking to Jesus, especially on long car trips or on walks out in nature.

If you had a superhero power, what would you like to do?

If I had a super power, I would love to be able to time travel! I love history, especially historical fashion, and I think it would be so cool to be able to go back in time and learn more about some of my favorite eras, like the Civil War era or Biblical times.  It would be great to be able to ask some of the people in the Bible more questions about what happened in the past or about their faith in what God was doing in their lives. It could also be cool to go to the future and explore future technology.
