Rev. Rachael McConnell – Pastor

Reverend Rachael McConnell is a Native Texan born and raised in the Austin area. She is, however, familiar with North Texas; she attended Texas Christian University and The University of Texas at Arlington. While in college, she met and married her husband, Josh, and their eldest son, Isaac, was born in Fort Worth. Esmond, their second son, was born in Argentina, where they lived in Patagonia for two years on a life-shaping adventure where God’s providence reigned. Their two youngest sons, John and Willie, are Austinites like Rachael.

Rachael received her Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and has served churches in Austin, the Texas Hill Country, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Raleigh, NC. God’s call on her life and ministry is to enliven and serve churches to become vital parts of their community, as Christ is essential to our lives. She loves being a part of the revelation of how God has brought us together for such a time as this.

As a mom of four awesome boys, Rachael enjoys being a passionate robotics, baseball, and wrestling mom. She loves watching her sons learn and grow in their gifts and interests, but she also likes watching movies, going to the playground, and cooking with them.

If she has a spare minute, Rachael enjoys podcasts and books about comedy and people’s stories, traveling the world with her family, drinking a good cup of coffee, catching up on what is streaming, and, if it is just right, catching live theatre, music, or comedy. She would also love to hear your story too!
