Should a church have a testimony? How is your church known in your community? Once a church thought about closing. An advisor said, “How will your church be remembered?” The member thought, I’m not sure it would be remembered!” That made the church decide to not close but to instead seek God’s purpose for them, right where they were, in the neighborhood.
This Sunday we talk about God’s purpose for FPCD. As we look forward to the coming years, it is helpful to look back. Where do we see God’s blessings through us? God spoke to his people when they were displaced: “Pray for the welfare of the city in which you find yourself. Be a blessing to it.” How does the church get outside its walls to do that? Let’s talk about it! Sunday School at 9:15 and worship at 10:30. CONGREGATIONAL MEETING AFTER WORSHIP to elect new elders. I can’t wait to see you!
