Merry Christmas! Today as I write snow flurries swirl around my office window. I do not think we can expect a white Christmas, but with the temperature at 19 degrees, it would certainly not be impossible! Jack Frost is certainly nipping in the air. But I hope that will not stop you from gathering here at the First Presbyterian Church sanctuary for the Christmas Eve Candlelight worship at 6:00 p.m. The choir sings “Jul Jul,” a Swedish Christmas Carol. As we gather together around the story of the birth of Christ, we chase away sadness and turmoil, to be replaced by the peace and love offered in Jesus.
Sunday morning we gather at 10:30 for worship to celebrate His wonderful birth. Children may bring a toy for a “show and tell.” We will praise and thank God together. You will hear testimonies from people in the congregation. Please remember, Sunday School classes will NOT MEET on December 25 or January 1. So we will see you at 10:30! I can’t wait!
