Have you heard the saying, “Worry is like praying for what you don’t want.” That makes one think. Wait a minute — am I giving energy to what I don’t want? What if I gave energy to what I do want? That’s prayer. Here’s another one. “When life gives you more than you can stand . . . kneel.” (beliefnet.com/prayerables)
We turn to the story of Hannah, mother of the prophet Samuel. He would need a mother of great faith, and God certainly gave him the best. But it started out rough, with great pain and worry.
