We have entered the 40-day period called Lent. Many of us gathered for Ash Wednesday to begin this period together. Will you join in? When someone does something extraordinarily special for you, you are drawn to that person. During Lent we go deeper into friendship, following, and more fully understanding the things Jesus says on the journey toward completion of our salvation.
There are several opportunities to do this. First, be regular in attending worship. These services are specially designed to help you experience Jesus and know him better. Come on Wednesday night to dinner (at 6:00 p.m.), followed by Bible Study led by Sharon Ingram (6:30 p.m.) called 24 Hours that Changed the World. If you are a teen girl or woman, there’s a new Bible study fellowship group called “Seamless” which meets Monday March 18, 7:00 p.m. at Panera Bread in Cedar Hill. The point is GOING DEEPER! REMEMBER TO SPRING FORWARD SUNDAY for Sunday School at 9:15, worship at 10:30. I am so excited to see you!
