Sermons, Spiritual Actions to Help Defeat the Plague

Years ago a pastor named J. B. Phillips, an Englishman, translated the Bible into modern language. Afterward, he wrote another book entitled Your God is Too Small. He wrote it not only for skeptics but also for believers. Just putting two and two together, to translate the entire Bible takes word for word slowness to understand and interpret it. Imagine going through the whole Bible word for word. In doing so, he discovered the fantastic, overwhelming largeness of God.

This week in our pursuit of Spiritual Actions that Help Defeat the Plague, we consider the LARGE POWER of God. Yet humans are small and temporal. How do we know God; see God; connect with God (without injury to ourselves!). That’s the topic of this week’s message. Sunday School is offered both by ZOOM and in person for adults and teens.
