Reformed & Always Reforming

Rev. Rachael McConnell’s current sermon series is titled “Reformed and Always Reforming” and seeks to take a deeper look at the components of our worship service. Presbyterianism comes from the rich tradition of reformed theology, which emphasizes the authority of Scripture, the sovereignty of God, and covenantal theology. As we experience worship, we also want to be fully aware of our heritage and why we do the things we do.

Pastor Rachael will lead us through this sermon series to help us understand the Biblical connections and reasoning behind Reformed worship practices. Things we do every week, like the Call to Worship, Prayer of Confession, and Benediction, have a meaning and purpose grounded in God’s Word and the Reformed tradition and we want to know why we worship the way we do.

Why must we confess with our lips? Is it hard to do in the congregation? We hold space to do the thing that perhaps we do not want to do.

THE LORD’S SUPPER

Blessed to be a blessing. The Triune God goes with us, dwells among us. We take heart in this truth. Could we use a reminder?
