HOLY WEEK ACTIVITIES
This two-part series takes us through the Passion of Jesus, beginning with the Last Supper and continuing through Easter Sunday morning with an Easter Sunrise service at 6:45am, Pancake Breakfast, and Sunday School & Easter Egg Hunt for children at 9:15am. Easter worship at 10:30am features a special musical presentation, The Majesty and Glory of the Resurrection.
MAUNDY THURSDAY AND GOOD FRIDAY SERVICES—April 17 & 18, 7:00pm
On Thursday, FPCD presents The Living Last Supper, a dramatic musical experience depicting what Jesus shared with his disciples the night before his death. Using Leonardo da Vinci’s beloved painting, The Last Supper, the characters discuss the main question of the night: Is it I who will betray you?
Good Friday, the choir will present “Were You There?” at 7pm. This evening’s story continues at the cross where we will hear from the point of view of the Roman soldier who was responsible for overseeing Jesus’ crucifixion. Members of an award winning quartet will lead the service.
HOLY SATURDAY PRAYER VIGIL—April 19, 6:00am-midnight, santuary.
A vigil means to keep watch. Time slots are 30 minutes each, but anyone may take two slots. We ask that anyone under 16 have adult supervision. To assist you in your time of prayer, Bibles and other devotional materials for adults and young people will be available. A journal will be available for all, if you would like to write your prayer or leave a prayer request.
