August 21, 2011 – The Pure Life

Please forward to the 31 minute mark in order to see and hear the sermon!

When is the last time you stood before a judge? Perhaps you were in a contest; or maybe it was something more serious! Or you may have watched someone compete in a sport completion, a beauty contest, or your dog was in a dog show. Judges and judgments are common.

Yet you might find, as I do, that you resist the idea of someone judging your behavior – for good or for bad. You might find that you especially do not like to think of God as your judge. At times, though, judgment is good. It is helpful when it guides you in a positive way. Let’s talk about judgment! It’s a great topic, even though a little controversial. And, this Sunday right after the service we will celebrate each other by having lunch together. ALL ARE WELCOME!

To prepare read Ephesians 5:1-20 and Psalm 51:1-17
