Rain Drops Keep Falling on Our Heads…..as many of you know, we’ve had roof leaks in various parts of the church for many years. It seems as though as soon as we’d get one repaired, another one would show up. There have been times, when we thought we for sure knew Noah’s pain! We’ve had a very rainy July, so the drips continue…especially in the Pastor’s office.
An ad-hoc group, headed by Dick Bergman, was created to look into several options. The group brought their findings back to session with the recommendation to utilize DURALAST vinyl roofing to cover all the flat roof of Fellowship Hall building and the roof covering the walkway from Fellowship to the Sanctuary (approx 5,500 sf), and increase the insulation from ½ inch to 1 ½ inches. The company that will install the system is an authorized installer of DURALAST. There is a DURALAST Warranty that covers labor and material for 15 years. The proposed cost of the project is estimated at $28,600.
We are now in the process of raising funds for the project, so that we don’t have to take out a loan. After only a couple of weeks, we have been blessed with approximately 60% of the funding needed.
