11/8/20 – Hezekiah Revives the People’s Faith

What is something you hold precious about your church family? One way to determine that is by asking the question–what has COVID robbed that you love? My answer: seeing everyone! That was especially reinforced by seeing so many at our recent picnic on the lawn, hosted by the choir. Another thing that I miss is gathering in the Fellowship Hall for potluck lunches. I can’t wait for the time when we can again enjoy a meal together.

Imagine if Duncanville is cut in half and those on one side cannot attend worship anymore. What if, as a result, the church can’t afford to stay open. But then you have a leader who loves God and believes church worship is the very thing that will bring divided people together again, and he works to that end. That’s the story of King Hezekiah. This Sunday we will see the impact of his decisions on the entire nation of Israel. This Sunday we also honor our Veterans in celebration of Veteran’s Day November 11. Adult Sunday School classes meet at 9:15. Worship at 10:30. I can’t wait!
