Attitudes can make all the difference. Have you been in a restaurant where the waiter had a great attitude? Or perhaps you’ve experienced a clerk in a store who went the second mile for you? Attitude makes a difference! Attitude makes a difference to God, too.
Often when Jesus did things publicly, like go to a party or teach in the synagogue, or heal someone, the Pharisees would have the wrong attitude. “Why do you do that? That’s not proper protocol.” Have you ever experienced such judgment? But Jesus resists their attitude. Jesus challenges their attitudes. I wonder what he say to us today in 2021? Of course, every message in the Bible requires that we ask that very question!
