An old magazine has been around since 1885. That’s 137 years! Its name is Good Housekeeping. You have probably heard of the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. Products advertised in the magazine are tested by Good Housekeeping’s model kitchen called GHRI, and if they pass, they bear that seal as well as a limited warranty. I remember seeing the GH “Seal of Approval” on products my mother bought when I was a child. It certified authenticity.
Jesus talks about his desired character traits that are to be evident in Christians. It is fairly easy to define what Christian character is, but much harder to live it! We have some helps though, and we talk about that Sunday during Worship. This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost–the generous gift of the Holy Spirit to the church. The Holy Spirit is such an important gift that this day is called “the birth of the church.” Join us to celebrate. Worship is at 10:30 and communion is served. Sunday School is at 9:15 for all ages. I can’t wait to see you!
