Jesus Does Not Play Favorites

Book: Luke

Have you ever felt an overriding purpose in life? Maybe you want to be an actor or singer. Or perhaps you love to cook and you want to be a chef. Some might desire to be a doctor or nurse. Jesus had an overriding purpose to go to Jerusalem. It’s described like this: Jesus set his face toward Jerusalem.

On that road to Jerusalem Jesus met many people. This Sunday we will meet two of them. One was poor and needed help. The other was rich. And though he didn’t know it, he needed help, too! Both encountered Jesus in a surprising way which set them on a new purpose in life. Perhaps you will encounter Jesus this Sunday in an equally surprising, life-changing way. Sunday School at 9:15 and Worship at 10:30. I can’t wait to see you!
