Scripture: Psalm 106:13-31, John 1:1-5, John 1:10-13
Do you ever do something and afterward say, “Sure do wish I hadn’t done that!” Or, you find yourself noticing those same shortcomings in others. Old habits die hard. That’s shared humanity.
The Psalmist certainly noticed that same thing about his nation. It is recorded in many writings. Just seeing the truth about ourselves helps us also see our need. Seeing our need helps us lean on Jesus.

One thing about little children is that they are willing to ask. Have you been around a young child recently? Innocence drives children. You are big. They are small. You must have the help/food/toy/ability they need. So they do not hesitate to ask.

This week’s sermon is all about three simple words that Jesus said: DO NOT JUDGE. This seems like a simple topic–so why is it so hard to talk about? Perhaps people will judge my sermon and it will come up short! Perhaps my sermon will make them feel guilty! So should I make it funny?
