This Sunday celebrates Jesus’ ascension. It happened forty days after the resurrection. He spent all those forty days appearing to the disciples, eating with them and proving in many ways that he was alive. In fact, he appeared during those days to over 500 people, and later to Paul on the road to Damascus. Jesus is alive!

Many crowds followed Jesus. They were impressed by his words of wisdom. They were impressed because he did miracles and cast out demons. He could stand his own. He could take on the “big guys.” But what did it mean to be a follower of the Lord? What does it mean today?

One thing about little children is that they are willing to ask. Have you been around a young child recently? Innocence drives children. You are big. They are small. You must have the help/food/toy/ability they need. So they do not hesitate to ask.
