The Duncanville Community Chorus, sponsored by First Presbyterian Church, invites friends, visitors, and the community to join them at The Main Station Courtyard, at 106 S. Main St., Duncanville, TX in the Courtyard next to the Duncanville Community Theater for a musical concert called “Have Faith!” This event takes place at 6:00 pm on Saturday October 17, 2015.
Under the direction of Choir Director Nyadia Thorpe, the Duncanville Community Chorus is a choral group whose goal is to bring the community together for special events to sing. Included is a drama team which portrays the story of Nehemiah, a man who felt the call from God to rebuild his city which had been destroyed by enemies. Following the event will be Duncanville Community Theater’s presentation of “The Odd Couple” at 8:00 pm. Join us for an evening of music, food, and fun. The chorus hopes to expand in the future. Don’t miss this powerful presentation.
The purpose of this event is twofold: to inspire people to celebrate music and the arts and to raise funds for Duncanville Outreach Ministry (DOM), the local emergency assistance agency which helps Duncanville citizens at times of crisis. The event is free of charge, but there will be an opportunity to make a tax deductible donation to DOM.
