August 28, 2011 – The Submissive Life

Sermon begins at the 31 minute mark!

The scene is heaven. A cry goes out. “All men who were leaders in their homes line up in front of St. Paul. The rest form a line to the left. The line on the left was so long it stretched all the way to earth. In the line before St. Paul stood one lonely man. The apostle looked at him with joy. “How great that you took my words in the Bible seriously!” he said. The man looked at him surprised. “Oh, I never read the Bible. My wife told me to stand over here.”

So much for the idea of submission. But truly the Bible has some important things to say, and it might help to understand them if we take a look at culture. We plan on doing just that this Sunday. Hope you join us for a lively and instructive discussion. We’ll talk about how to raise kids too – God’s style. It should be an exciting day!

To prepare read Ephesians 5:21-6:9, Genesis 2:20-24, and Proverbs 31:10-31.
