6/23/13 – Baptism, Potluck, and The Real King

2013-06-23 Worship from Duncanville Presbyterian on Vimeo.

This Sunday we celebrate the baptism of five people. How do you “celebrate” a baptism? Well, it is very important when people stand in front of others to declare themselves believers in Jesus Christ. So we gather together. We remember the significance of our own baptisms. We cheer with joy. And afterwards we have a dinner party, too!

The baptism takes place in the pool at the McGinnis home. Bring your potluck for lunch, and your bathing suit and towel if you would like to swim afterward. This is a wonderful time in the life of our congregation, and all guests are invited to join us. But before that happens at 12:00, plan to come to Sunday School at 9:15 and worship at 10:30. STORYTELLERS Dick Bergman, Doris Metzger, and Janet Stahl TELL THE STORY of Israel’s desire for a king. I can’t wait for this very important Sunday. See you there!
