1/27/13 – The Best Deal on Earth

Have you ever stumbled around in the darkness trying to get out of the car when you get home? You punch the garage door opener and the light comes on but you want to finish listening to your fav song or commentator before you go in. The light goes off but you head for the door, bump into the trash can, then the workbench, and nearly break your neck in the dark. You enter the kitchen and grab some chips and salsa – only problem is SOMEONE bought “no salt” chips. Boy, these taste AWFUL, like cardboard. That’s the end of a bad day.

Jesus would actually agree with you. He’s all for salt and light. He says, “You know how dreadful those chips are without salt? That’s how sad life is when a believer won’t stand up and share the good news.” But when you do, you are the light to the door and the God-flavor for others.

So how’s your experience with Jesus? That’s what you share. Signs of God abound at FPCD– answered prayer, generosity, joy, and vibrant worship. Do you need some light? How about some God-spice? This is the place. 9:15 for Sunday School and 10:45 for worship. I can’t wait to see you!
