30 So Moses left Pharaoh’s palace and pleaded with the Lord to remove all the flies. 31 And the Lord did as Moses asked and caused the swarms of flies to disappear from Pharaoh, his officials, and his people. Not a single fly remained. 32 But Pharaoh again became stubborn and refused to let the people go.

This Pharaoh guy just doesn't get it. God created everyone you and me and even Pharaoh and has feelings for us and everyone, even Pharaoh.

We are all sinners but by the grace of God. God will forgive us, but only if we asked him.

What do we do when we lose control, when overwhelming circumstances come? We pray.

In 2008 our business was in its first down turn. I have never experience this since we open in 2003. Business was growing after year, but what a surprise in 2008 the economy going down, people losing there jobs, business were going out of business. I started doubting my business plan, maybe times as changed. I didn't know what to do; I didn't know if I could even find a job at my age. I worried about my family, how was I going to help with the business at a stand still. I prayed everyday asking God to help me. I even went to my wife Brenda asked for help. She said, God will get us through this. He promises and so do I. I love you.

After reading the note she gave me, I wept, asking God to forgive me for doubting him. The next morning I felt this warming feeling over me, like God put his arms around me and said, Get out of bed and serve me! I started doing things for our church. I didn't worry anymore as long I was severing God that is all that matters.

Our little online store is God's store I am just running it for him!

Business started picking back up in 2009 and had the best December ever.

Serve God and good things will follow!

What does it mean to follow God?

For me following in God's footsteps....is to helping the poor, helping others, give back to the community, tell people about God. Spread his good news. We have so much hate in this world, if we only follow God's words. God has our backs, have faith, "good things will follow you".

What is different about having God in your life?

Having God in my life is like having this guy that will protect you always. He gives you countless opportunities to do his good works. He created us in his own image. This is an amazing person. God is the great protector.

This movie “Second Chance” made you think what giving back to the community is all about. When you truly give from your heart, God will reward you by giving you that warm feeling that you feel from that person you help.

Do you believe God has a meaningful and fulfilling job for you to do? Are you exploring what that might be?

God keeps hounding me to push for ideas for the church, you know, planting seeds of ideas on how to grow our church.

Here are just a few of God's requests:

God is telling us, we need a gym for our youth and older members to use. This gym will help us build a bigger church on our property with all this land we have. God is saying, “If you build it, people will come”

God is telling us, we need an e-billboard so we can make real time updates but the main focus is to draw people to our church.

God is telling us, we need a church van with our name on it to market our church.

God is telling us, we need to show our faces in the community and help people in Duncanville that are in need.

More to follow….

When and how am I giving the Spirit time to speak?

I have found during my daily walks, that God and I have these conversations about positive thinking, like creating happiness instead of pursuing happiness. So I start off praying each morning saying, how thankful I am that God has forgiven me for my sins. He has given me a beautiful wife 31 years and mother to three wonderful kids and a roof over our heads. I am so blessed.

Here is my answers to your questions.

Ask yourself: What is my favorite story about Jesus?

All of his stories are great. What I noticed when reading the story’s in the Bible, they are all about helping others and not expecting anything in return. Our focuses in our daily lives is helping others and pray to God that others will do the same like, "play it forward." I now understand why my mother wanted me to start reading the Bible.

How is Jesus alive in my life in the same way?

I feel more connected now than ever before. When I pray, I notice a calm presence after praying. Seeing results after praying is amazing. I sleep better because I know God is looking down on me. I feel his protection when I am out walking or driving. The music that I listen to is now Christian music not country that I have been listening to since 1980. The change just happens over night. The Christian music is positive where Country is depressing.
