6/11/17 – Be a Good Neighbor, or, as Jesus said, Go the Extra Mile

“Like a good neighbor, _______ ____ is there.” That is certain a recognizable slogan, but what if you inserted your name? If you woke up each morning with the intention of being a good neighbor, what a difference it might make. Even better, what if your next door neighbor began living by that slogan, too? Your street might change the world!

Paul and his companions approached their time in Thessalonica with a “go the extra mile” mentality. What a difference it made to the fledgling church of Jews and Gentiles who were trying to navigate their way into existence; folks who had not previously ever thought that they would be each others’ friends. Sunday we will talk about outcomes that occur when we are good neighbors. Sunday School begins at 9:15 and worship at 10:30. I can’t wait to see you!
