11/12/17 – God is Good, Good Wins in the End

Daniel, friend and prophet, set a high standard for us. He was so close to God in prayer that God spoke to him in visions during the night, revealing much about the future on this earth. When we think of prophecy, we must resist trying to pin down its specific meaning or time, but we can learn quite a lot in a general way (like my title–Good Wins in the End!). The beauty is that biblical prophecy speaks reality to each generation. It’s not, “well, that happened then, for them, but not so much for us.” It is very relevant for today.

Daniel’s vision tells of a rise in evil power on earth. At the same time, God’s power comes from heaven “in One like a human being” to defeat evil and bring the reality of God’s dominion over the whole earth. This Sunday’s service includes prayers for First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs. We hope you will join in so that they know we stand with them in their suffering.
